1991 Levin Gt Apex, Help?

hey guys, im new to the site,

just purchased a 1991 levin, gt apex, AE101 model

with the 4age engine in

wondering whether i could get any info from some car engine gurus here

engine goes well

and happily does 190kmh, (not that i make it an effort to exceed 100)

but on start up there is a strange, small tapping noise

now i know what it is because i have had similar problems with the nissan engine sr20de

But wondering how similar it is with the 4age?

will a engine flush get rid of it ?

are there oil railings going over top of the cam that i could clean out?

i havent taken rocker cover off or any thing,

surely others might have run into the same problem

is this serious for the invincible 4age engine?

any info would be good

quite possibly, what sought of noise should i be hearing from them,

i know due to wear and tear the tappets are probably worn

but i do hear a loud rattle from behind the injection system,

i hope thats wear the rattle is coming from

and yes generally its in idle, also sometimes low revs

on another note, let say i keep maintaining ma 4age engine,

oil changes, engine flushes etc

its done 260 000km, (163 000 miles)

is there any signs that i should look out for, for a engine on its way out ?

any typical problems for the silver top 20 valve 4AGE ?
