Locking Wheel Nut Key

Just found out that I haven't been given the key to the locking wheel nuts on my 2000 Celica VVTI. It Has premium & sports packs and original 16 inch alloys, It looks like the wheel nuts are genuine Toyota, has anyone any idea where I can get a key from ? Do I need to speak to Mr T first and get scared by his prices ???!!!

If it is the original locking nuts from new, Toyota should have a record of the code for the key... they will need your registration number/ chassis number to check their systems, they should then be able to order you a replacement.

They may even have a full set instock wich the techinicians can use to remove wheels from cars which are left for servicing etc without a lock nut being present... but not all garages have them as the set is quite expensive.

On new models we can get the lock nut key from retainagroup who have all the vehicle details on a security register, but on a 2000 model they will not have it. The lock nuts came in a plastic box, inside the box you should have the key number on a sticker, without the key number, you cant order a new key, a replacment key is only about £6 plus P&P

Damn it, haven't got the box . . . .

Guess I'll have to buy on of these locking wheel nut remove tools and then order four more wheel nuts from Mr T . . .
