Bosch Aerotwins

Just before a recent 1000ish mile trip from Scotland to Cotswolds and back I thought I'd get new blades and plumped for the Bosh Aerotwins - the flat, scaffoldingless blades.

I got the 530/430mm upgrade kit from wiperblades.co.uk. I was a little concerned as it meant the drivers side was a little short (21" vs 22").

The blades were great on the trip, mixture of rain, freezing fog, and that crappy salt spray that dries on your window on the M-way. Totally silent, and I do believe they cut down on the wind noise too.

On mine I have a tiny bit at the top right on the drivers side where there isn't perfect contact. A little spot maybe 1 inch high and 3 inches long where the tip skips a little.

Just thought I'd offer up my experience in case anyone else was thinking of getting them.

I've just brought some PIAA ones for mine - they cost alot more but I had heard great reviews

I had always brought Bosh wipers in the past but they never lasted long

As i've only had them on the car for 2 days (both of them rainy days) I must say that they clean the windscreen different to other wipers, beading the water rather than wiping the water across the screen - so so far I am really happy with the performance.

Although they are not the aero ones they are also alot lighter than the previous bosh wipers

Now i just have to wait and see how long they last before they need replacing

I bought Halfords own brand for mine.

They had the correct length and came complete with spoilers.

I opted for a spoiler on the passenger one as well and they both work well at high speed B)

I couldn't afford PIAAs, and wanted to try these. I usually just go for normal blades, but liked the style of these ones. I was impressed by the original ones on an Astra I drove for a while. A lot of manufacturers are switching to them lately.

I'm pretty sure wind noise on motorway is much reduced by the low profile of the blades too.

I've got the exact same Bosh Aerotwins as rents. Also brought from wiperblades.co.uk. My blades are perfect, 100% even contact on the screen. Better than the valeo flat ones which I had on my Yaris.
