This is my first post and i am looking for advice on the latest problem

I purchased about 18 months ago a T2VVTI 1.4 petrol 2003 model, and all went ok for 13 months, just outside the dealer warranty, when i got the strangest noise when the vehicle was on over run, that stopped when i accelerated or operated the clutch, after a visit by a breakdown service it was transported to the local Toyota dealer, who traced the fault to a stretched CAM CHAIN and of course the inlet manifold was damaged and both needed to be replaced.

To say i was shocked with the vehicle only done 39522 miles, but i had no choice but to have them both repaired at cost of over £800.00.

I contact Toyota UK and they would not move or offer any discount on the repair, so i wrote direct to the MD at Toyota Japan and i have had no response.

Now my latest problem, i have a coolant leak, but i cannot find it at all, i have checked all the hoses, radiator etc, parked the vehicle on dry ground all night, but no leak, i have run the engine for in excess of a hour on idle, but still no leak, but in a 22 mile drive, i loose about 1 cm of fluid from the expansion tank, and if i do not top it up it will just keep dropping on each journey.

I have tried a radweld type solution, but this has not helped, and i can see no evidence of the coolant going into the oil, and the exhaust emissions look ok.

I have had this problem for several weeks now, and with the cold spell now in the UK, it is now getting to be a problem.

so does any body have any idea what the probelm could be, and most important how to find it and fix it, rather than going to a main dealer.
