Exhausts

Hi

Can any one help, I have an 1994 MR2 which shows as a may model, the problem I have is that I need a new front pipe and a CAT.

The local exhaust centre are telling me that I must have genuine Toyota parts and that OE spares do not fit. Is this right?

Can anyone tell me where I can get these spares from as I am having no end of hassle trying to get them.

Thanks.

Bob

You'll probably be cheaper getting a downpipe and complete exhaust system. (n/a or turbo?), rather than buying genuine toyota parts.

Got my CAT and a downpipe made for £160 from a guy called CATMAN. well worth it he is very good and very very helpful.

I always buy genuine parts, but I''d make an exception for the exhaust.

Ever since I got my MR2 I've wanted the mongoose exhaust having heard it on another car.

But I'm too tight to buy one until the old one gives up.

About £260 for Cat back I believe, so not a huge amount of money if you need one, and I think that includes 'lifetime' guarantee (whatever that means).
