Bluetooth Help

Hello chaps,

I have read lots of things on hear regarding bluetooth and picked up some great hints like the gain increase on the mic vie the hidden menu. But I still have issues.

I have my 4.3 XT5 and the sat nav head unit with BT telephone support.

My LG Shine (I know it's a girlie phone) will pair and show the symbols for Battery and sig strength etc. but when I try to call out it says check phone :(

Same with my Eten X500 pda but it works with the Eten X500+ pda.

I have now had to resort to my old Moto Razor V3 that works a treat apart from the batt meter (no problem with that) but it's old and dated like me so I am going to get a new one from work :)

Could anyone with the same head unit as me with a phone that works properly please reply to this thread with the make and model etc. as it might save me hours of grief?

I am quite keen on the Samsung i620 so would be really keen to hear from anyone with one of those.

Thanks in advance

Joe

Hello Fruity,

As a general rule all Nokia's and Sony Ericsson's seem to work with the bluetooth setup in the car (some models wont show you Battery strength)

My LG Shine (I know it's a girlie phone) will pair and show the symbols for battery and sig strength etc. but when I try to call out it says check phone :(

Same with my Eten X500 pda but it works with the Eten X500+ pda.

With the phones above, have you tried clearing all previous bluetooth connections and starting again?

Well in the end I have bought a Samsung i620 for work and it pairs up ok and makes calls etc. without a problem. so far a good phone with the added bonus of my Exchange email through Outlook push mail.

The only niggle being that the Battery meter does not show on the display but I can live without that as I would plug the charger into the phone if I'm going to be in the car for any length of time.

Thanks for the replies

Joe
