Batteries And Security Systems

Winter is coming and I have a 2002 Celica VVTi that needs a Battery.

Halfords refuse to change it for me (some rule they have about not touching Toyotas).

Is there anything I need to know before I change it?

Do I need to know (or do anything) regarding the alarm or key-lock security system (both are factory fitted)?

Also, I've been reading about ECU resets/relearning - will that apply to me?

Currently feeling a bit paranoid and wondering what reasons Halfords might have.

Any comments or tips appreciated.

Halfords won't change your Battery???????????

They won't touch Toyotas???????????

Just buy a new Battery, loosen Battery clamp, remove the negative cable first, then the positive, remove battery.

Re-fit new battery, connect positive cable first, then the negative, and re-tighten clamp.

It won't affect the alarm or anything.
