Sat Nav T3s Sept 04 Plate

Hi

I have a 54 plate Avensis T3s Tourer & my Sat Nav is ok but I understand as it an early version but it has no postcode option?

So I understand you can pop another DVD in the sat nav & it can read postcodes as an upgrade. Is this correct or am i being being led up the garden path?

Not sure about the postcodes (that sounds more like a Firmware upgrade rather than simply new data), but you can certainly obtain an updated DVD of the satnav data - you can go to Toyota.co.uk/club like I just did, and find that an updated DVD for my 55 Avensis will cost Euro160 inc VAT - around £106 !!!! Good grief, that's ridiculous, you can buy a modern, colour, graphical interface sat nav for that kind of money !!! Anyone not long bought an Avensis and willing to illicitly copy the 07 DVD out of your car's system ? Turn the ignition on, slide the eject thing on the DVD drive under the passenger's seat, the DVD wil eject. Take to your PC, use Nero or something to "Copy a data DVD" ?? Please ? Be glad to pay blank DVD and postage... then a bit for your trouble..
