Hi Folks,

I am interested to know what make and model of tyres were originally fitted to The Avensis 1.

Are they any good and has anyone had good results with other makes?

Currently mine is fitted with Dunlop SP 200 tyres and I am not sure if I am happy with them, particularly wet weather grip.

My german import Avensis 1,8 SOL estate 2000 model was fitted with Dunlop Sp 200 E.

Just got an german import 2005 model in august and it was fitted with Dunlop 2000

My in-laws had Continentals or Michelin originally fitted.

They bought it from a norwegian Toyota dealer.

( Dont remeber what brand was summer and winter tyre)

I recon it depends on which country and dealer it comes from.

I really like the SP 2000 thats on my new Avensis.

On the 2000 model i changed to Sp 01 after the SP 200 was worn, but the sP 01 had significant wear after some months use.

Michelin for defs

agreed they last for ages i have done 120k on approx 3 sets of Michelins (can't remember exact no.)

so if you are holding on the the car it is well worth spending the extra ££
