Looking For Some Genuine Interior Mats

hi all. i said hello in the newbie section but its this part of the forum i will be using so hello to all rav4 owners :) i have tried to go 'sensible' for once in my life and brought a 2001 rav4 nrg with 20k on the clock, which to be fair is a bit different to my last car which was a vw golf with a genuine 310bhp lol..... but i am loving the rav ! and it even fits in my small garage which is a huge bonus for me.

i have had the rav for a few weeks now and want to buy a few bits and bobs for it 'to make it my own' but find parts very hard to find. i contacted my local toyota stealership about some mats explaining that i couldnt find them anywhere on their site. thats correct our site doesnt cover things like that was the reply ? well i have read a few hours worth of post on here and think there could be a few members able to help me out (kingo ? ;) ) so if anybody can give me details (photos would be a bonus) and prices for original interior mats for my car i would much appreciate it, thankyou in advance :)

Hello gramps99,

looks like I have the pleasure of being the first to welcome you the RAV section of TOC

i have tried to go 'sensible' for once in my life

You've probably already seen, but some may say it's far from 'sensible' on here, but that's the way we like it :D

Yes, Kingo is your man for parts and accessories. I recently purchased some stuff from him and he does exactly as he promises - can't say fairer than that! I think he is on holiday though at the moment?

Sorry, I can't help you with pics of 4.2 mats etc.

Hope you find TOC useful and enjoyable.

Cheers

Welcome to the TOC Gramps,

As mentioned Kingo is the top guy for Toyota parts around here. If you drop him a PM (personal message) he'll pick it up on his returning from refitting every Toyota in East Africa.

Another route you might like to try is Flea-bay, there might be something on there up to the job.

But I'd wait for Kingo personally. :yahoo:

Welcome to the club.

Good to have a newcomer on this side of the wall. How are you at pouring hot oil!

Buying the RAV may have been sensible but joining us lot might not have been your best move as we will soon have you certified for the loony bin.

We have numerous rants and endless leg pulling but if you find yourself the subject you must remember its all in good fun and while they are ripping you to bits they are leaving me and the Derbyshire sheep alone :fox: (who is in charge of these emoticons?)

IMHO the best option is the genuine ones so you have to wait for Daktari to come back :fox: (there it is again). They are very durable and take no keeping clean. These are over 12 months old;

Now just remind me.........How long have you been a member? ........and no photos???

:fox:

Where's the ruddy hounds

What's that on the side of your steering column, Anchorman?

Looks like an indicator stalk to me. (sorry, couldn't resist it!).

Ah now your all wondering what my gismo is and why you haven't got one. My Ipod lives in the top cubby hole as per the interface hook up so who else wants to guess?

Yes bothy suggested that there was a way to generate bulk wash mits and a few chops by skittling a sheep on a country road just don't let Flossie, Raquel or Oda-May hear you. There is another one called Jodie from the marsh but she is more of a dog really.

After hours of detective work.......wandering the mean streets......asking the questions nobody else dared to ask........pressing for information, "Fess up Sheep! or I hand you over to the Mad Essex Axeman.......he'll carve you up a new washmit!"

I solved the conundrum.............it was shocking..........I'm not sure the public are ready for it........but here goes........

It's a bottle of water in the driver's door pocket!

Reminds me a bit of a Tomtom standalone GPS receiver, but it is slightly the wrong shape. :(

Fuj

Listen mate don't give up your job with Mr Burns to go into sluething will you? "Fujisan PI" sounds OK but I'm not sure your ready for it yet.

shcm

I'm going to leave you for a bit to see if somebody else comes up with it but lets just say if you want to have a look through the red Ferrari brochure you're a lot more deserving than Fuj' at the moment.

Just had a call from my daughter in Hull and her (my ex) Corolla won't start - sounds like a flat Battery.

Does anyone know any decent local garages in the Hull area that I can call on when I can't get to her?

Luckilly I'm not in work today so I'm off to Hull now on a mission.

Cheers

Hello Gramps99 and welcome to the RAV4 section  as you can see this lot so easily go off topic  so to drag it back in line, you have a 3 door Rav4 like mine ( i have a 2004 XT3 )so if you want Grey they should be the same part number...thats PZ410-X1357-DB

I had a spend-up when i got my RAV4 and got the carpet mat set, rubber boot liner ( PZ434-X1300-PJ ) and set of mudflaps ( 08414-42820 ), hope you are enjoying your sporty 3 door B) .

Looks like we have a winner. What's the prize? A date with Flossie? :D

Yep, cigar (and Flossie of course) for Chatman :toast: I reckon......and my Ferrari has vapourised :(.

Now what about a "who's got the cleanest mats" contest? :D

(Did that manage to throw it back off topic?) :P

Here's my entry to the "shiny mat" contest. :)

(Not a good day for taking pics though - or possibly lack of photography skill!)

Are front and rear or carpet and rubber different categories? :D

When we do our rules on the railway they tell you not to say any more than you need to do as the chances of digging a hole for yourself get bigger.

Jimmy Saville would knock you a point off for saying "710 series" because it is in fact a 910 but just to show you how fair I can be you can pretend to have won a Ferrari of your choice :P

I think yours is in "foul weather" mode but everything looks tickety boo in there to me! I see you have the obligatory drink in the door but can't just make out your toy in the centre console.

Oh goody, do we have another contest on? :D

It's not a drink, but I hope you all have one of these in your vehicle  I have two, the toy one in the door and a more serious one in the boot.

Also guess the centre console toy. Shouldn't be too difficult, there have been clues on here before.

Suggestions for prizes?

Cheers
