i was wondering if the engine in the st202 is the same as the st205 the gt4 model as im thinking of turboing mine and just taking the bits off the gt4 and sticking it on my gearbox

Are you a member on any other forum?

If not try celica-club.co.uk they cover all the models in there, I drive a gen 7 so am not sure about your query but i think that they are slightly different but don't qoute me on that one!

No offence, but you don't really sound like you know what you're on about :lol:

Are you planning to do this yourself?

It's easier to transplant the whole engine from the GT-4, then use an MR2 gearbox to make it FWD.

But easier still, just buy a GT-4 ;)

lol yes i do know what im going on about im a qualified mechanic just not really worked with toyota's 1st one i've owned.

so was wondering really if the engines was the same and was just a case of taking a few bits off the gt4 to stick on my gt for the fwd. im not saying that my cars slow just want the little extra.

The gear linkage would be wrong on a MR2 box as its on the front. You could probably swap the gear set and diff to the celica box
