:( I own a Rav 4, VX deisal, Jan 2003, 110000 kilometres ( about 75000 miles). I live in France. Took the car in for a service today and reported a vibration in the clutch. The result I am told is it needs a new one together with a ' Volant Moteur'. The quote is for 1750 pounds including 8 hours labour. Naturally we were devasted. Our french is not great but he advised we should do asap. On looking at the french forum there are 5 pages on the subject . Toyota seem reluctant to help. our warrenty has expired. Could someone explain the problem in English! and their experiences? Thank you.

This sounds like similar circumstances to yours;

However, the warranty rules may vary from country to country. My discussions on this subject can be very frustrating as I keep missing my contact. He is out of the office until Monday so no more info before then.

Regards
