Yaris Sr - Alloy Wheel Broke Off

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help.

I was driving my car last night and the wheel literally just came off. No nuts or bolts came loose... it broke off completely with the bolts still attached. I didn't hit anything, was just driving normal and it just broke of in the middle of nowhere and i saw the wheel roll out in front of me. The tyre is still in perfect condition, no tears or a burst or anything.

It was the front passenger side.

It's a W reg and has a full service history by Toyota. In the last service (April) they replaced the worn front anti roll bar link rod bushes and front breaks.

Has anyone experienced anything like this or anyone know anyone who has or any idea how this could have happened or the cause of it?

Some one wrote something about them going down a hill and hitting a big pile of leaves and the car tapping the curb and the wheel rolled out infront of them to!

But not just detatching as you stated!

Thanks for your post... We had a look to see if I maybe went thru a pothole or something, but there was nothing like that close by, unless it was something further back. But I didn't feel anything different, so if I did it couldn't have been something too big!

Perhaps it just wanted to be a Reliant Robin?
