T180 Fuel Consumption

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi,

I have a t180 and seem to be getting really low fuel consumption, generally I get 320 miles to a tank. I did a check on a long motorway run with the cruise set at 70 and anly got a return of 38 miles to the gallon  . Otherwise the car performs well above my expectations.

Is anyone else finding this?

That is low! No matter how i drive i always get 420 to 440 miles to a tank.

I did a manual calculation of my MPG and it was 40.3mpg and the computer showed 41.1mpg so it is very accurate. Round town done expect more than 36 odd.

What you need to understand is the fuel warning light comes on VERY early, too early. You will have 80 miles left in the tank after that comes on.

38mpg on the m-way isn't too bad, the demo i drove on the m-way only managed around this. Mine even after nearly 6000 miles hasn't done a m-way journey yet! :) So i only remember the demo's mpg.

A/B - dual carridgeway you should definatly see 40mpg unless you rev it up a lot. Winter seems to suffer, e.g. more diesel used to warm the engine, lights on, air on everything set in auto etc. In the summer my MPG was nearly 5mpg better than it is now.
