Can The Door Handle Inserts Be Replaced?

Hi All,

Just wanted to see if anyone knows whether the anthracite door handle inserts on the inside pull handles can be replaced easily on a late 2004 RAV4?

All four on the car we just bought had some scratches but the driver one was really bad...

Anyone done this before and know how much they cost?

Hi Steve and welcome to TOC. I have the same problem, but I was thinking of prising them off, rubbing them

down and re painting them with aerosol / lacquer. ;)

They just pop out with a screwdriver but start to pry from underneath out of sight. If they are available Kingo will tell you when he gets back on Monday - I will send him this link.

You slipped up there. You should have made it a condition of buying the car!

Kingo has sorted me out with some new ones at a very reasonable price.
