just dropped my tsport in for a major service have been offered something called a service plan by the dealer.

im normallywary of dealer pricing cos they sometimes talk like we all on 100 grand a year but sounded like a decent idea. a 2 service plan were they freeze the costs at todays price then u can either pay up front or intrest free. im quite tempted cos it seems bit like saving up stamps for car tax then u dont just get near to next due service and think oops im gonna be skint this month

anybody any opinions or been offered anything like this.

Depends how much your going to save,if its a decent amount then may be its worth it,but what happens if you crash the car tomorrow,are you still stuck paying for a service you mite never use? Plus is your deal with the toyota dealer network or one toyota garage,if you ever have probs with the garage your dealing with it would be a pain having to go back to them.

my thought ws is it transferrable if i got another toyota, they gave me an auris as a hire car and its very nice drive be intrested to see what this t180 is like

Was sitting in normal auris in dealer when the car was getting service,didnt like inside,good looking from outside thou. Prefere corolla interior. Be grand if you could carry it over but is it not major service every 20000 and inter every 10000 between. Whats the story if its two major 1s after another if you swap cars? Id make sure of the fine print. I could be a great deal cause havnt seen it. How much could you save by doing it that way?

well it freezes the cost agains it going up. when i had a celica the 60000 was 205 its now 250 so the prices are going up, so your protected against that factor i guess.

way the guy explained is like if you have a savings card in asda u put money on it each month then when u need a service they take the money off your card

gets you 15.00 discount off club toyota membership as well. il be reading the smallprint cos i dont trust anybody me haha.

my old man was saying he listened to a talk show on the radio other day driving to work they were on about labour charges.... im in the north labour is 55.00 an hour her apparantly in london average is 120 an hour dont know how true that is or if anyones heard the same.

Charging 80euro an hour in ireland but had few thing done at jemca edware road before i exported my car. I was like gearbox oil an engine oil an summit small things i can remember,no new parts involved,think i got charged £300 or there abouts. Know its 80 in ireland cause heater not working properly and had to have most of dash out to investigate. Matrix half blocked,i think the garage i bought it off used radweld to fix a leak in system but left heater on when doing it. They had all the air ducts out,no blockage in them so has to be matrix,only gettin heat left of car,be alright if it was right hand side!!!

Be nice not to get a big hit service time alright,i must investigate,see if they do it over here
