Just had mine done at toyota for free. There is a noticable difference. They also told me how to do it. Should i put it on eBay and let you all bid for the instructions :P or should i post it up on here for all to see ;)

yes compressors only im afraid as toyota restricted them to 215bhp. ill sleep on it :P

come on wake up!the dealers told me it was a sequence with the ignition key but the techie would not tell me how.250 bhp was mentioned.

Switch Ignition on (DO NOT START)

For 40 seconds apply full throttle (AGAIN DO NOT START)

release throttle then start engine

i think thats just the ecu reset sequence if im not mistaken

I dont have a compressor,just t sport but fella told me in parts at jemca that when they do this it goes up to 240bhp. He said they have this facility for cleaning out the supercharger,put it back to 215 when there finished service . He only told me this cause was asking bout getting extra bhp from normal car,chipping it like. He owned a t sport as well he didn't know of anything but mentioned that for compressor. That trick with ignition and 40 sec,does that work for reseting ecu? Anyone tried it? I know i wont get any extra power from mine but be handy thing if it did

I dont know the lads name,he was in part department,was in gettin filters and wiper,bout 4 months ago. He was sound,was able to ask him few Q's bout noises i was hearing!! Branch on edware road.Gray compressor out front at time i think,that your one? Think something lik 16k asking price,could have been more,memory fails me!! It was a nice anyways,was imagining myself spinning round in it!!!

Only over there in summer times,live in Kenton when there,cars back in Ireland now but if you see an irish plate 03 corolla thunder gray cts with dark windows between may-sept you'll know who it is!! That was really good price from main dealer. When i was looking for mine even 03s were making 7k and more from main dealer,thats jus pre facelift cars. Come down a good bit now i think

not a clue what the BHP it is running. i need to get it on the rollers to find out really. but i wont be doing that till i have got the K&N filter on in a few weeks. guy in the dealer said it takes it to 225bhp but we will have to wait and see

All this sequence does is change the map in the ecu but you need to run it on at least 98 Ron fuel to get anywhere near 240bhp.

The compressors only run on 98ron or above anyway. Which is a choice of Shell v+ (98ron) or tesco super (99ron and cheaper)

what would happen if you were to run on 97? would it do severe damage to the compressor??

cos i must have run it on 97 by accident and there was a lack of power and no lift after 5200 revs... wont make that mistake again!

The key on and pedal trick is just an ECU reset to put it back to factory.

The higher figures mentioned are wish-lists

The Compressor will not harm if you use a lower octane fuel as it goes into low power safe mode.

However, simply filling the car with super unleaded will not put it back to normal.

This is where the key trick comes in as it puts the car back to the super unleaded setting.

When people do the trick and find the car more powerful it's usually because the car has been in 'safe mode' without them realising it.

but how will i know if its worked??? i tried it numerous times to make sure it was back to factory fitted settings but there was no lights nothing?

is there any beeping or lights that come on to signal that it has been reset.. after holding down the accelerator for 40secs and then turning on the engine?

When u switch the ignition light on the engine light is on, when u press the accelerator after about 40 secs it will start flashing. Thats when u know its done
