Problems With Auris

Recommended Posts

I have some problem with my Auris 2.0 Diesel...

Every time when I have filled up the fuel tank I here splashing inside the coupe when I break or when I change gear from the 1st to the 2nd. It is especially at low speeds I here it. It is very annoying

Are there more people then me who have this problem? What has Toyota done about it for you? I have not contacted Toyota yet so I want some information how to attack the problem.

Thanks in advance.

I have the exact same thing with my D4D 2.0, but I always regarded it as 'normal'. With a full tank it is kinda splashy the first 10-30 (?) kilometers.

It would be interesting to know if owners of Golf, Audi A3, Volvo C30, BMW 1, Mazda 3, KIA Ceed and Corolla, Yaris have the same problem with splashing noise in the coupe after full tank.

This is a well known design concern and most manufactrurers will fit baffle plates inside the tank to eliminate this kind of noises, I am sure you will not hear it on most C-Segment and D-segment vehicle running around right now... the last one i heard it on was on the honda accord ( not the current model and not the previous, the one before that !!!!) , I am surprised Toyota have not done this ( maybe for cost reduction?) . I get it on my Auris and it is really annoying... along with the dash rattles, gear knob scratching really easily, etc etc etc...
