Omg What Have I Done

after deliberating a lot, me n the respective other popped up to Marsh Toyota in Exeter to have a looksee at a 2004 (53 plate) XT3 d-4d, it had just been reduced to a fiver short of £9k, but has covered nearly 90k miles.

This was after me emailing them over the weekend making enquiries bout it, and after I got a call from a luvly sales peep called Steve. Course the first thing I asked was bout the DMF. well lucky ole me gets told the clutch n flywheel were changed in 2005 and were replaced with the upgraded bits (if you know what I mean).

so up we pop, we nip out fer a quick testy, me nervously behind the wheel as I aint used to driving a diesel or summat so high up (got a 05 reg Smart forfour Brabus....well had one now that is). omg it was soooooooooooo easy to drive and surprisingly quick (me brabus has a 1.5 turbo engine and 177 ponies under the bonnet so I understand what really quick is about, n me other half recently got shot of a twin turbo supra...so i even know what really really quick is about lol_

anyway, after a few hours up there and a bit of bartering, we managed to ge the part ex deal we were after and did the deal :)

Sooooooooo Weds 12th December we shall be proud owners of a cornsilk coloured 5 door XT3 d-4d, which will come with 1 years toyota approved warrany, a FSH and MOT and 6 mths tax.

I decided to leave me personal plate on the Smart (S44 JTK) as, to me, it just wouldnt be right on the Rav, and we have dropped back a year or so in age, but god it was so nice to drive summat that werent gonna feel all the bumps in the road and summat we can get 4 peeps luggage in the boot of lol.

Needless to say, I am one happy peep and am looking forward to tackling speed bumps without fear and gritting my teeth :D

Marsh Exeter is my local dealer, who sold me my car and also service it. What do you think about them ? I have always found them really helpful and very good value for servicing.

they were brilliant Bos, really helpful and friendly, its more n likely where we will go to get out rav serviced, despite it not being our local cos my partner has had unhappy experiences with Plymouth Marsh Toyota servicing dept when he owned his Supra.

The only thing i will be looking to chage first is the headunti as its a radio/cassette and not a cd player...........that or I shall see about a cd changer, but will need to price up what its will all cost...........I love me music but dont listen to radio so might have to sacrifice tunes for a while lol. and mp3 headunit would be good tho :)

i case you're wondering!! i run a cleaning business and pink, minky cloths are a something used regularly in my line of business :)

oh yea picking up my new RAVer at 11.30m next Weds :)

me respective other, Simon, is already looking at getting her chipped and have twin tailpipes on her, plus he wants to get the silver bumpers and sides strips re-sparyed satin black, an aftermarket spoiler too.............we aint going to change the alloys or lower the suspension, sensibility kicked in ;)

Not long now to wait until the big collection date.... Then you can join in the fun on here...we have a RAV photo section were we all cyber kick each others tyres..(And laugh at the other non BLUE RAV's he he).but just be carefull of the low flying turbo RAV that has now got it's pilots license, and may be heading (very fast) to a town near you ha ha ha ha

Quite right pinky. We have a nice blend of sorting problems, providing a shoulder when necessary and having a chuckle at the same time.

A bit of leg pulling helps us to stay sane.
