Clutch - Labour Costs

Hi - what does anyone think of the feasibility of buying your own full branded clutch kit online, and phoning around for labour cost quotes for fitting from garages? - obviously garages mostly like to do it all them selves to "mark-up" each part of the process/item and/or use cheaper parts - just looking to save some money - if a garage goes along with that what does anyone think'll be the labour cost for it?

Thanks

Thanks GT4 - does anyone know what they charge for labor though - have checked on their site but no mention of labor costs. Would the ballpark figure be somewhere around £100 or 150 etc for labor costs if we buy our own? - I've spotted some Exedy clutch kits for £ 85 ish the 6th gen GT ST202, so am just trying to get a rough idea before moving on.

Thanks

that figure sounds about right , they quoted me £ 250 to do a gt4 clutch and the st202 is a much simpler job .

Thanks GT - got it done all-in this week for around £300 - absolutely awesome - very pleased :) - fast acceleration, and smooth operation - there's only one slight niggle though which I'm unsure of - the car is now idling at around 1400-1500 rpm (almost as if a "choke" stays out) - previously my 6th Gen idled around 800 rpm - so, does anyone know what could be causing a high idle after a clutch replacement - any typical reasons for this?

Thanks
