Which Oil?

Hi,

So many different opinions on which oil is best for the corolla t sport. Has anyone a definative answer on which oil is best for a corolla t sport that has done 95k, 5w/30, 5w/40 10w/40?.

Well I put a couple of litres of 5w30 in mine about 2 weeks back and not had any issues so far, and it does seem to be the type that is recommended most often

Which make of oil was it?

I was a bit desperate at the time so plumped for Shell Helix

0w40 Mobil 1 is my oil of choice.

just had mine serviced asked for couple litres to be supplied extra that was Shell helix, Mobil 1 is as good as any

i think if you look in the specs in the handbook it can be 5/30 to 10/40 grades basically depends on how cold weather conditions .i use 5/30 Castrol magnatec i prefer the 5/30 oil as its a bit thinner being the tolerances on modern engines are a lot finer now and on an engine that revs to to over 8000 rpm a thinner oil gets round quicker.

Have been recommended to use Motul 8100 5w/30 oil by the OILMAN, so i think i'm gonna go for that guys. Any stockists in the midlands?
