Weel, havin watched TV the nicht fur a change; ah log ontae ma meesages tae get a woeful list of greeting train drivers an ither Englanders (note the capital E - respect!) posting stuff.

Its been raining heavily here wi some snow as weel a day. I chose not tae gae oot in ma motors seein as there's a lot o eejits oot there driving cars whit they cannae control. Also didnae take any photos of the RAV case it hurt ma digital camera.

An also didnae dae much on the computer cos I slept maist o the day aff aifter takin ma tablets late yesterday.

At this moment in cyberspace I have 6 days growth on ma chin; 8 weeks growth on ma heid (all of which is ma own); still knackered after the English virus; and cancelled ma order fur a poxy turkey frae Norfolk.

Rarin tae take ma Rav oot ramoro if I feel like it, but if its raining then a day doing paperwork again.

I must add that a 'friend' changed railway stations at warrington jist last month and commented it wis a dump. Noo, wis he referring tae the station oar the toon?? Maybe ye'll let us ken eh??

And mind ma RAV's a 4.1 so nuthin synister aboot it like yer hi-fullooting 5 door 4.3 XT whitevers. Maybe wan o yer can tell me hoo mony horsepower yer cars have, jist so as I can make sure I can double it when I visit Cheshire - 3 May ....there and back in 3 hours wi a stopover at the Tebay Truckers fur their curry - man its huge!

its a forum for the cleaning industry.....just so appens to be mostly populated by window cleaners....well it is winter innit.

as for the headunit, the previous owner decided to have a cassette headunit installed instead...i mean...CASSETTES...even my dad (whose 77 btw) transfers all his music from cassettes to cd's!!

Anyway, moving on, can anyone recommend an excellent aftermarket headunit that plays mp3's or takes a usb drive, no stupid prices tho pleez :)

Just one thing to remeber when doing this. The standard Toyota head unit is a double din (bigger than normal) you can get adapters for the whole left if removing this unit (I cant find my link to show you one) other members may pip in on this.

Once you've adapted this the choice is huge for this size units...most new units will play mp3's...I would go for a combination unit that incorporates a card slot...rather than having some usb stick hanging off it...work friend has one and uses his 8gig card in it and has not reached the end of his extensive play list for the last couple of months....

Jan, if you decide to go for a standard (single din unit) you will need one of these fascia adapters-

simon had a supra until a few months ago and he says its pretty much the same setup in the rav as the supra was, so he knows what hes gotta look for, we just gotta agree on the headunit..........which we wont cos we never agree on anything lol, in an ice way of course ;)

Had the beast out today - in the rain - for a brief run. I took off at some lights, where's a slight bump at the far side and it came off the ground totally!

The acceleration is something I've never experienced in a car before - sorry lads but ye'll need tae a lot better than that wee hurdle..... :lol: :lol:
