Celica 2.0 Gti

Can anyone help. I bought a celica gti on a J reg and there's suddenly warning lights appeared on the dash. The yellow light that looks like an oil can is on, the Battery light has come on and another light which is got 2 lines either side inside the circle. Does anyone know what this light is or why they've all come on at once? thanks

Very likely to be an electrical fault - perhaps alternator not producing sufficient voltage, or else the Battery not holding the charge . Does your car have a volt meter or ammeter?

The oil can (indicating oil level or pressure fault presumably) and the red one which I think from memory is brake fault, could be false alarms, but I'd check them anyway.
