Recommended Tyre Shine And Alloy Cleaner

Hi guys,

Enjoying my 9 month Yaris and want to look after my alloys (I tend to scrape them on kerbs! ) just wondered what sort of stuff I could use on them to get the brake dust off and to protect them from dirt. I have also scraped along a kerb and got yellow paint on one of them. How could I get that off?

Also, do you know any decent tyre shine?

Meguiars hot rims is good for cleaning them with and turtle wax wet and black aerosol is fantastic for tyre shine or Meguiars extreme tyre gel

Meguiars hot rims is quite aggressive iirc, not for using often only if they really need it.

go for a PH NEUTRAL rim cleaner like sonus rim bright, its good and not too dear about 7 or 8 pounds.

then give the alloys a coat of chemical guys rim guard to protect them.

If you clean your alloys regularly or keep a coat of rim guard on them you will never need wheel cleaner, just soap and water. wheel cleaner should only be used if they are bad to shift the crap so you can start keeping them good from then on.

Good tyre shine is meguairs endurance high gloss (the purple one) its not too dear either but the best ive used, lasts for ages and a nice black off it
