Muck Magnet

iv had my car a few days and iv had to wash it every day to make it look good. its like a muck magnet! would it be wise to get rear mud flaps to solve the problem? has anyone else got them?

I have them buddy, look pretty nice but dont do anything at all to clean it!

What shampoo r u using? - ON THE CAR LOL i use Auto Glym it really is worth paying more for a decent shampoo also try putting a bit of polish on it couple of coats helps to keep it shiney and repels the mucky water and dust :D

hahaha, think it was turtle wax stuff or sumit. i never took pride in my rover it was cleaned like the whole of 20 times in 3 years im sure, it might even be less than that.

the mudflaps do a good job, i had mine off for a while and really noticed the difference they make. theyre back on now needless to say.

Mudflaps help a bit as does a rear spoiler but they still get quite dirty.

I wonder if anyone here knows if fitting side skirts helps keep them cleaner?

I have a set to paint and fit and have wondered this for a while as lots of shy-te seems to come from this area, hence the reason Toyota fit the see-through stone chip plastic coating near the rear wheel arch.

the mudflaps stop like lumps of dirt and stuff getting on your paint, when i had them off my car was like an inch thick in pure dung before i washed it

but with them on i just get the sort of film of dirt where dirty water has splashed up then evaporated off. thats easy to clean.
