Rav T180 Automatic Washers

I am still getting used to all the toys on my new RAV.

When the washer controls are set to OFF and not Automatic the wipers occasionally come on - is this normal?

I am concerned that there could be something wrong with the moisture sensor or the controls themselves.

Any advice would be great!

Cheers

Chris

Bomber,

It tok me a while to get used to the wipers! The wiper settings on the T180 are as follows:

Off

Auto

Slow

Fast

If you push the stalk upwards when in Off you'll get a single sweep, also if you push the stalk down to Auto (from Off) you'll get a single sweep. The sensor for the Auto wipers can be adjusted on the stalk itself (try leaving it on the least sensitive setting when it's not raining, "-" sign). If the wipers are on the Off setting, they shouldn't come on, unless you push the stalk up or have it set to Auto.

Hope that helps :D

Think it is also worth metioning that if you pull the lever to "wash/wipe" after the initial few wipes there is a pause then they do a single wipe to mop up any water left, even if not on the automatic setting.

If everything is definitely off and they still move, then there is a problem.
