I just bought an 03 Corolla CE with 26,000 miles. I like it well enough except for the exhaust fumes in the passenger compartment which I am currently trying to troubleshoot with the service guys at the dealer. I must say I liked my 01 ECHO better in some ways. Unfortunately I rolled and totaled if a few weeks ago. BTW, I'm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near the south shore of Lake Superior.

I have a 2003 Corolla in Lunar Mist Metallic and I live in Souther CA. I have never seen this forum before but found it while searching for body parts. If you haven't already, check out www.2003corolla.org.

Does anyone know much about body kits for the 2003? I recently installed the factory front spoilers and side skirts on my car but I want a different rear bumper/lip. I like some of the Corolla Altis rears I have seen on Thailand and Twain websites. Does anyone know if they will fit?

I'm hailing from Western NV here.

Mark, I haven't heard of exhaust fumes in the passanger compartment. I'll have to ask the other US corolla owners on vvti.net

OC Rolla, as far as I know, there are only like.... 3 kits avaliable for the 03 and 04 Rolla. Have you seen them? You can check them out at vvti.net, grounddynamics.com, and extremedimensions.com

Hello, Greetings from Great Britain,

Just a note to say I'm pleasantly amazed to see that Toyota is popular in America.

I would have thought you 'Good ole boys' with lower petrol prices would be more interested in your 'Muscle' cars, i.e. cars with 'proper horsepower'! (like your Chevys, Mustangs, Firebirds etc)...anything with a V8.

As the saying goes: "There ain't no substitute for Cubic inches"

Take care and Happy Motoring.

P.S. If I could afford the petrol/running costs make mine a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans-am in Black.

Twincam,

Actually, the 'Import' scene has really taken off here. Alot of the younger generation are more into Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Mitsu and BMW than they are interested in the US Domestic market. But even the USDM is getting into the compact scene with the Dodge SRT-4 Neon, the Saturn Ion Redline and the upcoming Chevy Cobalt. We still have muscle cars, just mini-muscle cars.

:arrgg-matey:

P.S. And if I could afford it, make it a '71 351 Boss Mustang.

Give me Steve McQueen's Mustang out of Bullet. A '69 ain't it?

What's the Mod's scene like over on the other side of the pond? I take it that it's not all Sklines and Supra's and not quite as kick@ss as Fast & Furious? Or is it? We just have loads of rubbishy Vauxhall/Opel Nova's etc. But some nice Civics, VW Golf's etc.

From what I read, it was a '69 Fastback. I'll have to see the movie again to be sure. I like fastbacks too.

The tuner scene in the US is probably about the same there. You can check out the US corolla forum I fequent and look at some of the members Car pic in the 'Show Us Your Ride' section.

VVTi.net

Mostly younger guys buy and work on Civics. Corollas are now becoming bigger, epecially since the XRS hit the market. It kinda sux becuase Toyota didn't continue to make 2 and 3 door 'Rollas after '92. So everything after '92 have all been sedans. :cacker:
