Remote Central Locking

I've had a strange problem with my remote locking.

I went to work and back, it was working fine. Went out this evening, worked fine. Got back home and when I tried to lock the car with the remote fob it did nothing.

I've tried both keys, and tried moving the car to a couple of different locations but no joy. It does nothing at all when I press the buttons on the key fob. The lights on both keys come on when I press the buttons, and they both stopped working at the same time, so I don't think it's the keys.

Anyone got any idea what it could be? My passenger seat has become a bit difficult to slide back and forth also and I'm wondering if the 2 are related.... Is the central locking control unit under the passenger seat for instance?

Very weird...this same thing happened to me on Monday night just gone... Eerie. Thankfully it was fine after i unlocked car (even though the car wasn't locked at the time) and then lock it again.

Was just a blip in the matrix...i hope.

Blip in the matrix sounds possible. I've just tried it from the window and it worked.

guess wot mine just done same got mr t to check said it ok but if it does it again they will order some sort of receiver can,t remember exact name now but next day it stopped again so took it in and they have changed this part ok at moment .must be a common part to go because the service adviser new what it was as soon as i said what was happening

I had this problem with my Yaris T Sport, very annoying. It fixes it self after a minute or so. Haven't had it on the Rolla yet, fingers crossed :)
