Hi guys, hope you can help with this one. If anyone has a dump valve fitted to an st185, where did they attach the pipe coming from the top of the dump valve. I've tried the vacuum hoses with no joy. I know there is one connection that is blanked off behind the inlet manifold, but my hose won't stretch that far. I know there is one at the bottom of the inlet manifold, but can't seem to spy it from above or below the car. HELP!!!!

BTW dump valve is a bailey dv26

There are two pipes coming down off the inlet manifold on the left hand side. Put the hose from your DV around the intercooler and T it in to the pipe on the left. Thats what i did with mine and it works fine.

you mean under the ic? thought if you put it round it the hose would be prone to melting from heat from the manifold??

Ok finally managed to tap in to a vacuum hose on inlet manifold, got the dump valve to open and close but still no noise <_<

I've read that this could be down to me having a boost gauge fitted and too much air is being taken out of the inlet manifold? Or am i barking up the wrong tree??

  • 3 weeks later...

are they on the same vacuum pipe? if not then it shouldn't matter, mind you in saying that mine were fitted on the same pipe. any chance you could post a picture of your set up, it would speak a thousand words

I'll try and get a pic up. Dump valve now works but only at around 4250rpm. Is there any way i can get it to dump a bit earlier???
