Rear De-mister

well its winter, its cold, and my rear windscreen has a tendency to freeze on both sides.

the problem, the rear de-mister doesnt work, fuses are fine and and the whole thing is completely non functioning. which im hoping means ive just knocked a connection loose when slamming the boot on numerous occasions

my question, how do i remove the plastic boot trim without potentially breaking it, i imagine most are just pop clips but i guess there are also screws, where are they?

being 12yr old plastic i imagine its a little more brittle than it used to be and id rather not snap various bits of my boot trim so any tips would be great and make my winter work journeys a damn site safer

(95 Corolla Sportif SE as per profile)
