On Saturday, waiting in traffic to get home...the car started idling slowly..I just made it home..and the engine was overheating..I was low on antifreeze..so today,I added some.I just was outside letting it run a while..put it in gear to move it and it stalled again..by the way,it also now has no heat.Anyone knows what the heck is going on here???

I sure appreciate the help!

After letting it run a while, is the temperature guage reading abnormally high?

First off, check for leaks, and try and ascertain if the water pump is malfunctioning. I.e. Noisy bearing squeal/rattle/grind.

The symtom of no heat, after having to top up, sounds like an airlock, to me.. :help:

No heat> No water in the heater matrix, hence no heat..

Did the coolant level get very low? Sometimes, this can happen. Thing to do is, take off the filler cap. Start up, and increse revs to get water moving in the system. You should notice air returning to the filler/expansion tank. Once you have topped up again. you should have no worry's.

Good luck
