Some of you will remember the pictures that I have been posting of the Rav4 T180 that I've been having repaired. Well, after 7 months I went and collected her this weekend, and what a stonking car!! There isnt a thing wrong with it and my mate who took me down to collect it said that it's the best repair he's ever seen; you could put it on a forecourt and no-one would have a clue.

Here are some pictures that tell more than I can say...

Very nice and your knowledge of RAV4 construction must be quite good by now!

You're right she is a stunner  Looks like well worth the wait and I can't think of a better Christmas present. :D

(I must say, I always think the chrome on the T180 grill does set it off well. Wish they'd have done it on the XT5, can't be all that much extra cost to do it in production).

Thanks for all your comments - really appreciated. I should add at this point that this is my missus's and she is as happy as I am. Was like a kid when I got it home!! :yahoo: Lots of people keep saying that she must have been a really good girl to get the Rav for Christmas!! :D  :D

Saturday was a bit of a bitter sweet day as although we welcomed the T180, we also sold the NRG. She has gone to a good home though, and we'll be seeing it regularly though as it has gone to a friend!!

I would just like to give a mention to the chap who did all of the repairs. His name is Mick Daley at Manor Motors in Wickford, Essex. Between him and his son Mark then have a couple of small shops on an industrial estate. Classic "old school" garage. He's done all sorts in his time including fairly recently a Ferrari. Consistantly turns out unbeatable work and dealers have not been able to tell. If anyone would like his contact details, I will pass them on to you.

Cheers, Simon
