P.S. I've checked E-Bay and theres really no help as to what your buying even though there are lots of products,

Any help would be appreciated

Check your handbook for the bulb type - I think it's an H4 from memory, but don't quote me. If so, then Philips Xtreme +80% is the way to go.

Good info on Philips own website re the benefits of different bulbs and which ones fit which cars.

I presume you mean dipped beams?

These are H7, and the likes of phillips bluevision will give you a slight blue tinge.

However newer cars which have blue lights use HID technology not halogens technology; so the only way you can really get a decent blue light is to upgrade your lights to HID's.

To give a rough idea i have a pic below when i upgraded my lights:

Light on the left is a 8000k HID, Right is a Bluevision (which doesnt look very blue!)

And a better pic to show the colour against the fogs:

good old flebay mate!

I know people that have got them from Chinese sellers, which cost under £50 inc P&P, but i got mine from a uk seller for £90.

If you want to fit the ballasts under the lights you will need to remove the headlights... which makes it a lot easy to fit /change the bulbs in the first place.

Just search for H7 HID. You have different colour bulbs you can get. Best bet is to go for something between 5000k and 8000k. 8000k being bluer (mine) and 5000k being whiter.

In hindsight i would have got 6000k instead as they are less blue and as a result improve viability.

Hi Guys,

On the back of this, has anyne got any info on fitting the lights. I have changed my dipped bulbs to brighter ones and have made a right hash of it. My lights seem to be pointing right at the ground and they are on the highest level setting. Any suggestions?

Cheers

Sounds like you haven't seated the bulbs properly.

yep, the bulbs are keyed so make sure they slot in properly and the wire is clipped firmly back in place.
