My wifes just phoned, she's up north at the moment, and someone keyed our new Rav last night down one side from boot to bonnet. It's only a month old. I havent seen it, but hopefully it's fixable.

Why do people do that?

Wot a pain. Where in the north was it?? Worth sharing it and dropping a line to the local Council leader to say his towns been blacklisted!!

Some cretin did 5 cars at my fathers flat a couple of years ago - all the way round each car - meant an almost full respray.

In these days of electronic sensors, if an alarm went off as soon as metal hits the car, then it might help to be a deterrent - same as clowns who scrape the car in a car park.

A neighbours wee girl ran her new bike into the old mans new Punto - caused a couple of scratches but nothing too bad so we just left it and thanked them for owning up.

In these days of litigation etc, ye cannae get away with plugging yer car intae the mains! No unless ye put a warning sign on it...???

Feel really sorry for you, I know how I would feel.

One of the most cowardly acts on planet earth. The annoying thing is that if you saw them do it and gave them a pasting the law would come down on their side. I had this done to my old Corolla one day in the station car park and in a way I was relieved that I wasn't there because I would have run them over. Twice.

There was a shoe tread mark right in the middle.

Really rotten thing to happen. Same thing befell my father and brother when their cars were parked one behind the other outside the hospital - they were visiting my mother who was in there for a cancer op. I cannot think of a 'printable' word that adequately describes this kind of vile mindlessness.

Hope the damage can be repaired soon so that you can put this upsetting episode behind you and get back to enjoying your lovely car.

Off topic but as an aside to what Anchorman was saying, I saw this on the news tonight. Dispicable, see link -

Thanks guys (and girls).

I'm back up there on Friday so I'll check the damage and probably post some pics. She says the paints damaged, but the metal isnt dented, so we'll have to see. I had a guy sort some scrapes out of my black 206cc last year and he did an amazing job, so I'll be getting him back and see what he can do.

It was in Northwich, Cheshire. On a main road, overnight. I suppose the car is easy to hide behind while they're vandalising it.

Anyway - what can you do - nowt. Except accept that some people dont have the same conscience/standards/morals as others.

I'll let you know

It just takes seconds to do the damage and unless there's a CCTV, theres no chance of getting them.

Northwich, was I thought, quite a nice place..

And from your title, I guess you're involved in rugby?? My cousin is down that way but now involved in Union.
