Anyone Else NOT Feeling The Xmas Thing?

I think I'm just getting old or I need kids!

I just dont get it anymore, its a massive commercial effort, you buy for me and I'll buy for you, spend most of the time shopping with 75957934759375 mental shoppers in poor weather, people getting peed off in long queues.

At the moment I'm moving house and that has taken priority.. such a massive job this time of year!

Roll on Spring.

BAHHUMBUG!!!!!!

It really amazes me that the shops are only closed for a couple of days but people are laying in seige with trolley loads of food.............................there really is not that much point in overfilling the fridge/freezer and cupboards with all that food :(

Bah Humbug ;) .........................HAPPY JAPPY CHRISTMAS :xmas::newyear::drunk::yahoo:

I agree, christmas this year is rubbish.

Mostly because I've got a huge work project to finish for mid-jan (like 6 months work condensed into 1).

Have you been to the westfield centre yet? Its !Removed! chaos!

I have to admit, I too am not in the Xmas spirit of things :( havent been really for the last few years.

For me Christmas is a family affair, and whilst I do have a "family" all 3 of them, they love me and I love them, let me be blunt, I moved to Boro to get away from them, among other reasons!

My son is the only reason I have to go back to Rochdale, otherwise I would gladly stay up in Boro!!!

I do prefer my extended TOC family (you all know who you are ) :)

I will be crying in a minute...so yeah Bah flucking humbug!!!! :P

well I LOVE Christmas.

Finished work for a couple of weeks. So I can get on with the decorating :(

( I think once you're older you look forward to the time off work, not the occasion! )

Not enjoying this xmas.... first since becoming without employment again. Moneys tight, can't sensibly do what I want and my car needs some TLC that costs. I love my nephews, theyre both a bit like my own in a feeling sense but... dear god its all about them now. The shopping thing as mentioned above also yes sir I agree total flaming crock load of swizzle.

I'm counting the days off until January the 2n'd where at least I'll be feeling a little more balanced lmao

Hope you guys find some fun and enjoyment, or peace and respite if not :) a bottle of whisky and a star wars film every night for the next 6 for me it is, followed by jericho series style nuclear apocalypse!

best wishes

Jinxed

What a miserable bunch of Ebeneezer's you are!

Everyone whines about shops being full, then goes out an' fills 'em... Everyone whines about the same old repeats on T.V, then goes and watches 'em AND gets more stations with even more repeats.;.. Everyone moans about too much turkey, then buys the biggest bugger they can find.. (Spot a theme her)?

All in all, EVERYONE likes to whine about Christmas, cos we all want it but DON'T want the inconvenience of everyone else doing the exact same thing, at the exact same time!

Just get out, do it and BLUMMIN' enjoy it... whether you like it or not!!! B) B)

Right you lot get yourselfs sorted out a little

Everyone knows Christmas is coming so you should not have left the shopping to last minute, however if you have there are many bargain's to be had

Yes it is a commercial rip off if you allow yourself to be ripped off, simply give one meaningful present and dont allow yourselfs to be commercialised. Christmas is a time to spend with family, friends, loved ones, just a time where the majority of us are off at the same time so make the best of it by doing some nice socialising, or using the time to get on with something else.

Dont see what there is to be grumpy about, me I got all my shopping done, and will still go browsing the shopps. I will be kicking back for a few days, then get on with re-decorating that back room and then get back to work on Jan 8th .......

I'm off to torment those who have no idea what I have got them and to light the coal fire even though we got gas central heating. I might even allow her to put that !Removed! CD on with all those silly songs on it....

Merry Christmas

Was this not actually a pagan feast celebrating mid winter, and that from this date the winters would be getting shorter. This is also where we get "Eat drink and be merry " from ... off to try some of that :D

There's one good thing about being ill prepared and leaving all your shopping till the last minute though...........

Argos and all the other main places have thousands of Nintendo Wii's in stock - now that everyone has queued for them weeks in advance !
