hi guys. just bought a st185 great car had one before, now and then it seems to strugel to boost properly. i have checked all the vacume lines and it has a new turbo, however some times it is fine. what would be my next area to check? any ideas

I'd replace the dizzy cap, rotor arm and plugs to eliminate them. Other possibility is that maybe you hit boost cut off at some point? Pull out the main engine fuse and see after that (its in the fuse box mounted off the Battery, it is marked).

If that doesn't solve it do a diagnostics check

its had a new dizzy cap rotor arm and plugs, first thing i done when i bought it. al so the aheck on it and see what happens. it doesnt get no were near hitting boost cut off. drives really well just doesnt seem like its driving to its full potential

no probs mate i would have suspected vacuum lines as well, but if they are all fine then i'm not sure what else to suggest

what is the aprt that all the vacume lines go into connected to the car at the back of the engine bay called? it has a nut on the side of it with a spring? any ideas

IIRC that is the idle up valve for the air con.

do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? can't really tell anything from the description as it could be one off a hundred things. it would help if you knew what actual boost it was hitting
