REPORTED IN THE TIMES:

DRIVERS FACE FINES FOR SPLASHING PEDESTRIANS

Motorists will face tougher penalties for driving misdemeanours ranging from using mobile phones to splashing pedestrians, under new guidelines. According to the Times, using a mobile phone, sat-nav or MP3 player while at the wheel could send drivers to prison for up to two years, while those who drive through puddles and splash pedestrians or fail to dip their headlights could be fined up to £2,500.

A warning for all you 5 Door maniacs who splash pedestrians whilst trying to interpret yer sat-nav....2 years in prison and £2500 fine.

It'll be cheaper to run the buggers over!!

Well said Bothy................I couldnt have put it better........The world's gone mad

On a slightly different note, good old North Wales Police just had an old duffer pulled up outside our place, next thing it's on the back of a transporter being taken away, that'll teach him to put a Guiness label in the windscreen

Kingo

We don't have Police on the streets; they're all in doors filling in paper work for the chav they arrested three weeks ago, so who going to catch you :o

They'll probably employ the traffic wardens assistant penalty notice writer to do the enforcement. I followed a black convertible mini today and thought he'd no rear number plate til I realised it was covered in mud as well!!!

Hey but hang on my dear bothmiester :g:

I can see some good coming out of this. Maybe all my wishes for old sparky are coming to fruition.

I think a £1m fine and 20 years hard labour is very lenient for an oversized exhaust :banned:

"Dear Gordon Brown your worshipfulness"........................

so, nice one. but, my radio head is my; radio / cd / dvd / hands free gsm (blue tooth) / nav / reverse camera & mp3...

so according the law i can't even change a radio station since i could also just press my predefined wifes phone number to call her. wondering if that holds stand while in court...

anchorman - take care not to drive any diesel trains then cos they have well big exhausts - wouldnae like tae see ye wi a hefty fine - aifter aw its the driver that takes the decision....

bit man - yer heids oot the windie fraid. As fur yer bluetooth, keep it quiet or the Governments Vets'll hae ye pit doon afore ye ken!! Back tae the simple radio seems the safest thing - BBC Radio 1 or 2 as the others don't have national coverage.

And mind - if ye get caught, yer DNA an other vital bits will be taken fur tae sell tae the Americans tae pit oan a CD disc so it can be sold tae the highest bidder. Then ye'd find oot hoo mony kids ye have worldwide wi a claim oan yer estate thru the marvellous technology whit is DNA sampling as per the news the nite. Whits the the chances??? 1 in a 100million? That cuid mean ye've got 50 kids in China alone....28 Russian we'ens and who knows hoo many frae America.

An yer most prized possession o the RAV will be impounded/impeached/imappled and scrapped tae allow aw o them tae get a bit....!! :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:
