The best i ever got from a tank was 350mile with light on,all motorway 70mph no stop starting, trip from London to west of Ireland. Most of the time bout 300 driving 60 and with a small bit of town driving thrown in with odd "lift" when over taking,my car mostly used on long journeys with engine up to operating temp. Its not that big a tank, bout 50L I'm guessing

Soon as the light comes on or just before ill pull in and fill it,Euro's in Ireland but between 50 and 55 Euro will normally do it, like 117.9 cent a liter, good bit cheaper than UK. I say 300 but I'm a granny with it most of the time. Plenty of lads on her would prob tell you nearer 250

I get anywhere from 29mpg (series of 8ish mile journeys in very cold weather and quite heavy traffic - daily commute) to 40mpg (motorway run from Huddersfield to Essex in the summer).

Average is about 34ish.

I'm getting around 29-31 with V-power.

I tried BP ultimate yesterday for the first time. My god it makes a big difference. Better fuel economy(not sure on the mpg yet, needle doesn't move as much) and better pickup when accelerating in gear. Highly recommended. But I'm not traveling an extra 30 miles to get it though, I'll stick with V-power.

300-odd going to the E line (45 litres or so) - normal petrol.

It's been discussed before, but does everyone REALLY notice the difference with "higher performance" fuel?

yes - big difference! try it. v power is good - that tesco super stuff was poor. not used bp.

About 60-65 miles to a tenner...computer averages 31mpg on Sainsburys super unleaded...mixed easy driving with a bit of lift now and again.

Its not a cheap car to run, a real culture shock after my wee 1.25 fiesta :o But then again its a 190bhp rocket ship.

I find its a lot quicker and gives around 3mpg improvement on Super Unleaded too...Its only 2p a litre dearer than normal unleaded at my local sainsburys.

My T-Sport can vary MPG big time! At the mo, I am experimenting and driving like Grand-dad. Av mpg shows 37.1 and I've done 220miles and have half a tank left! Have seen as little as 230miles to a tank when driving it on my own without the missus.......:) Usually see 300miles when a bit of both driving styles. I have definatley found though, that while supermarket petrol is cheaper, I ALWAYS get 30-odd miles less than when I use my usual BP standard unleaded!

I've been using Tescos Super 99RON since I got the 4 months ago so had nothing to compare it to until Christmas day when

I had to use ESSO Super . It wasn't a huge difference but I did notice a slight loss in power compared to TESCOs , coming on

lift just isn't as brutal .

With Tescos , lift snaps in like someone threw a switch but with ESSO it feel a lot more gentle and not as strong at the very top of

the rev range .

I'm getting 30MPG at the moment as a long term average although sub 20MPG & 40MPG+ have both been :) .

hi,i to have the compressor and was worried at the mpg issue,as soon as i purchased the compressor i was going on holiday to somerset,so filled it to the brim and set off,i went from lancs to somerset and refilled,it only took 20 quid to refill and the car was fully loaded, never used lift, and that was m/way and a roads so am not to ar&** about consumption anymore.think it was about 98p litre.but honestly thats all it took,i was amazed.

try v power if you think the tesco stuff is good. same average 30mpg - had it down to 27 once and that was here to notts using lots of lift and going 100+.

I get 33 mpg driving 80 miles a day (50 of which are motorway)compared to the 38mpg i was getting from my 04 1.8 avensis.

I think the t sport does well considering the extra performance.

20 quid in mine from empty fills just below half and goes for about 115 miles but that using lift aswell . wen a dont go above 3500rpm (normal driving) my computer will show bout 36 mpg so there better than expected.
