I've also worked out that Bothy's 3 door RAV LS (Light Speed) is in fact a 5 door. It is travelling so fast, that due to Lorentz contraction (if you don't know, wikipedia does), to the observer, the apparent shortening makes it look like a 3 door.

Is it not flight safety procedures to have an exit option should the need to use the ejector seat, become apparent.... :blink:

Well I was afraid to ask in case I made an @ss of myself but thankfully somebody has taken the bit between the teeth. I didn't want to be saddled with asking. Come on Rowan even Jimkhana fix this, you'll have to tell us - we want it straight from the horses mouth. Which donkey bit your car?

Well risked the -2 deg C yesterday and fitted new 1/4 bumper so all sorted now. Did not have time for photo

but its back to looking like this (except a lot filthier ) -

So its a big thanks to Kingo for a good job on getting the parts (painted ), Anchorman and others for offers of help.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, would like a 4.3 but is it just me or do the rest of you think paying 20K plus for a car

is wrong ? (ok some of you have, and still getting over it ). Of course my wife being my wife (car snob ?) says

it can only be another Rav or another Beemer :o (been there done that )

I had a 318 touring (2000 my) and it was superb in terms of comfort but what a nail in terms of reliability. It was always in for repair so it put me off owning one. I think if you put your best negotiating head on you would get a XTR diesel for less than £20k and a petrol for proportionately less.

So...............what will it be???

One thing from the photo - where's the tow hook and bullbar?? You know - the one that saves cracking yer rear bumper...???

What Car quote a target price of £19,822 for the XT-R D4D (£18,506 for petrol), and with a mint part exchange you could save yourself some serious money!

If you don't mind waiting, the ex-demo D4D's go for around 3k less. (A bit like THIS ONE :D )

Also Dave I would have a go at selling that privately. There are people that would give their right arm for your motor in that condition. Put it in auto trader near top book and see what happens. What can you lose?

It also puts you in a strong position to negotiate a discount on the new one.
