Help Required Asap For H.u..

ok so im fitting my new cd player today but having problems getting the original cd player out!

been following a guide and im at the stage where ive taken out the screws behind the heater nobs and im trying to pull the dash out to get to the next set of screws .. but the dash will only pop out at the bottom..

my cars a phase 1 t sport so i dont have to take out the speedo or anything,.. or do i? im confused :( stuck less than a quarter of the way into the job haha how gutting :(

ok panic over, after wrecking my hands a bit the standard cd players out. but whilst im here does anyone know if its possible to get the cigarette lighter and fit it to my new fascia, i am not paying out more again for bits for this damn dash haha.

LOL just done mine last weekend, the upper control panel s a bit fiddly to get out int it. Have you got the toyota dash panel (fascia), if so your cig lighter from under the original cd player will fit in it, to get it out theres a black square sticky outy ( well technical me lol ) block on the back, in two parts one is a cover - take it off, then from the same bit u need a really thin screwdriver or something similar, i used a nail file, pop that outer bit off and the rest comes through the front. Follow in reverse to re-assemble in the new fasia:D

cheers for the reply mate, got it done in the end :D used a hairdryer to heat up the cigarette lighter and shrunk the plastic enough to pull it out :)
