Just to butt in a little, its generally alot easier to follow a car rather than lead because your just copying all their actions. Im assuming this will be night-time driving, having someone glaring at your rear view doesnt help the performance of the driver in front generally either. So i agree with T600 and stop comaring your cars unless its on a track or in a straight line.

lol i like to read these stories :) if you didnt want to compare and see how your car stood up to the rivals you wouldnt have got a fast car right ?

i need to feel that lift everytime im in the car and i feel there is nothing better than when someone has a decent car and doesnt realise the power of lift until youve passed them :)

im really tempted to get the power apexi ecu or whatever it is and get my lift to engage at 5200 surely that should knock a second or two off 0-60

so whats this ecu your talkin about m8 sounds intrestin!

i think it is a replacement ecu and you have a controller that can set when the lift engages, they was a topic on it a while back, sure they are on eBay for £500 but you need your car tuning too

if you do 2 basic mod's you should easyly take a standard mk 4 180bhp turbo golf gti's but the mk5 golf gti turbo 200bhp you will lose by about half car to them maybe less from 0-90 or quarter miles run honesly aint much in it.
