Japanese Import

I'm really interested in getting hold of a Japanese Import Prius mark 1 around 1999-2000. However I'm slightly concerned that it could prove a bit of a nightmare to maintain as it's pre UK release and I've been told they are signifficantly different from the 2000+ UK spec cars.

Can anyone shed some light?

Will UK Toyota Dealers deal with them?

If not who will?

What's the availability of spares like?

To my knowledge the software and computer to connect to the NHW-10 model( I think that is the model you reffer to) is ONLY available on the japanese market if you ever need the get a diagnostick on the car.
