Air Con Problem

HAPPY NEW YEAR-well anyway, the air condition on my Surf does'nt work. The light on the switch comes on but the compressor doesn't kick in.I see in the electrical diagram it goes thro' a relay but which one? In a previous post it mentions a cut off switch under the dash-but where? It may be low on gas but I'd like to try other options, ( if I have any) before I delve into gas changes. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Also it does not show the fuse for air con unit in the hand book.

If it's low on gas, then the clutch on the compressor won't kick in.

The electrics for the air-con is up behind the glove box.

Thanks again Vince-I'll check behind the glove box.

Hi Rob-I'm up here in Errol Perthshire, stockport is in another country, but I'll check around here to see who can charge up the system. Not sure if it's freon R12 in the system at the moment (not easy to come by) so may have to change refrigerant. Thanks again.
