You will find that the Corolla will appear all over the world with different names after them, but still the basic model.

I remember chatting to another member who has a corolla, that was a RunX model, had to google it to find out more, but still the basic model.

cheers for the replies......

it's actually one of the higher models here, as most cars come with absolutely no extra here..

usually no electric windows

no front fogs

no rear spolier

side skirts

silver dash etc

no front and rear electric windows, and if there are, it's just the front two.

on another note thinking of getting a kenwood DDX-7029, anyone have any opinion on these....

Possibly a colour collection?

Looks a bit like the SR but without the tinted windows.

Also its 1.4,sr 1.6. Its like the Irish market version id say, tailored for the smaller engines we have over here cause of the tax. Not often you see climate in a corolla in Ireland ,i thought i was special!!

Bit like my Alpine, but with a different name.

I've only use the basic feature on it, but can add loads of other features onto it

This is a T3 grade in Uk but some differences, like climate control. It is also the same spec as an SR that was a special edition in the UK which I have but only Toyota GB call it the SR. Balearic blue is limited edition colour that was introduced on this.

Like Norfolk n Chance said it is an SR without tints, the tints and T Sport alloy wheels are added at factory in England, or when they come from Turkey into the UK.

The RunX is what they are called in South Africa. Same car again.... just the name change. The manufactures use names that they think will appeal to the local public who would buy them.....

Yup, in South Africa the hatch Corolla was called RunX, the sedan was called Corolla. Even now in lots of countries the Auris hatch is Auris and the sedan is Corolla. Weird marketing decisions...

Also another thing is, they don't have different names for all the different models. Like the only thing that a Corolla 1993 and a Corolla 2003 have in common is the name, but people just call them both "Corollas" and I'm like "Listen mate, I don't know what you know as a Corolla, but that ain't the Corolla that I grew up with".

Have you had a Kenwood before, I don't know anyone but the corsa boys that like anything to do with them...

And as man-bling has and Alpine that looks similar, look into that instead, as you already know he likes that.

just my opinion :)

The luna is just one of the variations of the corolla h/b. doesnt affect much other than a few shiny bits here and there.

the runX is the japanese version of the corolla.

check any used jap car auction and you will see hundreds of them for export. all higher spec than ours too! they even have a 4x4 corolla there
