Yaris Has Gone Bang!

Drove to my girlfriends house on 1st.As I was pulling away i heard a very loud bang.Atfirst i thought i had hit the curb or something but then car woud rev up but noit go.Coated to the side of the road and sat there very annoyed trying to suss out what was up.Walked back to my house (only 5 mins away) to get my brother (knows far more about cars than me as was a mechanic in the army).When we arrived back there was a huge trail of oil under the car going about 10/15 foot back behind the car.Checked the enginbe oi and such like and concequently discoverd the gearbox has gone.We managed to find about four bits of the gearbox on the road.Nothing was open being new years day so had to wait till the second.Managed to get hold of a second hand gearbox for only £205.63...very good i thought.Only downpart is that i have to wait till monday foir it to be delivered.Getting it fitted wednesday so no idea how much more thast will set me back.And who said the new year brought good luck....lol.....there goes my plan to get new tyres to get my alloys back on... :(
