I found today that one of my bulbs has blown on my Celica, was looking at replacing it. Before i go to Mr Halfords i was considering buying these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-CELICA-00-XEN...ksid=p1638.m118

This is one of only a few sets i've seen marked as 7500k instead of 4500k...will these be much brighter/whiter and will they cause any problems that you can think of?

Thanks in advance for your input

Far from being whiter and brighter, they will be much more blue, 6000K is a happy medium, personally I would'nt go higher. Take a look here and hovver your mouse over the light spectrum to see how the lights will look on the road

Kingo

i have 8000k HID on my car... they are infact less bright than the average 4200k HID bulbs.. but they look quite cool!

But tbh i am guessing your bulbs you are looking at are not HIDs but standard blue bulbs... which imo are a waste of money as they are basically standard bulbs painted blue.... so are very dim, and dont last very long.

Hi guys, thanks for your input, i dunno what i did with that link but oh well. I decided to go to Halfords and picked up a pair of their super brilliance bulbs, hope these will be a good combination of white/blue and brightness.

HID lights, is that a conversion i would have to do to my car? Its more than just bulbs isnt it?

P.S. nice lights Aquazi and even nicer car :P

I have 6000k on my car, and I wouldn't want to go any more blue.

Invariably I have found the Halfords bulbs to promise the earth but deliver diddly squat more than normal bulbs.

For HIDS you'll just need to find space for the ballast. That's it. Apart from that they are "plug & play".
