Installing Kenwood Ddx6039 In 02 Corolla

Hi Guys,

I am having trouble installing the above head unit in my 02 corolla, the problem is that when i connect the ground, constant 12v and the ignition wire, it seems that the ignition wire doesnt want to work....as far as i know the colour of the ignition wire is grey....but still nothing?? when i connect the ignition wire from the HU to the constant 12v wire the HU works straight away.... i've tried other ignition wires e.g. cigerette lighter which is the white&black wire and still nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

ok i've tested the gray ignition wire on a 12v light bulb and nothing and i connected it the to cigarette lighter and still nothing.....when i connect the light bulb to the constant 12v wire it works..would this be a fuse problem?

And you had the ignition on at this point presumably?

Does the cigarette lighter work? If not then perhaps a fuse has gone.
