Hi everyone, recently purchased a 1.6, 3 dr auris here in Germany and have a few technical `quirks`i hope you can clear up for me.

1. Clunking noise at start of journey, from front end, only for a few seconds

2. When changing up with manual box, i notice a slight rev increase on rev counter even though clutch fully pushed down.

3. Intermittent squeeky rear breaks.

Thanks very much for your help.

1. No problems there check the manual and it is stated there that this should happen first time you put it on motion once you started it. I think it has to do with the VSC.

2. Can't help you don't have a 1.6 didn't notice anything on my 1.4 D4d

3. Yes and this is a known issue solved by my dealer too.

1) ABS pump activating and ready for use - does it after an emergency stop also

2) Think this is a feature of the CVT box and the petrol engine of the toyotas - they always seem to do it; something about achieving the best effeciency on gear change

3) Known fault and the dealership should swap the pads under warranty

Thanks for all your help, not been too easy reading the handbook in German or seeking the answers in English from the dealership. Thanks again.
