i've just fitted a set of Eibach springs - on the rear springs there was plastic tubing covering the 2nd, 3rd and 4th coil from the top. the tubing didnt seem easily removable with out cutting it so i left it on. have others who fitted eibachs have the same? there was nothing on the front ones.

The rubber is there to help prevent the springs from squeaking.. as far as I know your not supposed to take them off.
