i posted a few weeks ago about an issue i had with my cars idling - thanks for all the help and replies it turned out someone had the exact same problem as me - it turned out his inlet manifold had a tiny crack in it! has anyone else had there inlet replaced or has an unresolved issue with idling? your help is much appreciated.

I was thinking alright,just that there are two t sports at this place in halifax,i dont know how near you would be. Both crashed so you would be taking a chance but sure if the price was right could be worth a gamble,and think they give 30 days warranty. I bet that manifold from toyota would cost a fortune,you just know by the shape of it! Sure cost nothing to take a look at these crashed ones anyhow. Click spares and then page 14 or 15 at the bottom,both there somewhere

nice one mate - only thing is i have 7 moons of warranty left so if it proves to be cracked it should be covered. will have a look at them as might be a few bits i want!

iam going to phone these as the green one was on eBay or the engine was any way so they might not split the engine but no harm in asking. i would think they could post it probly weight a bit tho.

the thunder grey is same as mine - even got leather! heartbreaking to see. i've asked how much they want 4 the whole car - not sure if they split but you can do a parts request......

Silvers the one armz got the leather seats from. Iv sent off for a part from them as well,havnt got it yet,he didnt want to do paypal and i didnt want to hand over credit card details so sent a cheque. It was on e bay alright,could be right mite want to sell the engine in one piece. They wont know whats happening tomorrow morn when they get half a dozen calls at 9oc bout the same car!! Everyone getting bits

i emailed asking price of the thunder grey one - dont think they sell them complete? but he quoted £1150 for the motor, 32k and 3 moons warranty. i've had engine delivered before - through it in with price of motor.

i had my 40k service done yesterday....... i mentioned to the mechanic that the inlet manifold might have a leak :( he said there was an easy way to find out an proceeded to spray carb cleaner - if there is a leak the carb cleaner enters the inlet an picks the revs up slightly as its flammable. sure enough on the g/box side of the inlet when it was sprayed the revs picked up. got the car booked in tomorrow - phoned RCG in Rochdale after good reports on here who where very friendly - when they realised i lived 40 mile away they said if i came early they could hopefully have the part in for the afternoon to save me making 2 trips if i didnt mind hanging around
